You’re Invited to Lift Your Voice!

Join residents and staff at Assumption Village Retirement and Assisted Living Home for this weekly singing session, led by licensed music therapist, Lisa Peterson. Come as you are, bring a friend, and enjoy the music!

As part of the St. Johns Intergenerational Project, this group is intended for singers of ALL AGES and ALL SKILL LEVELS. We’ll sing everything from ol’ standards and favorite folk tunes to well-known hymns and traditional sacred choral music. Emphasis will be placed on celebrating your voice and embracing your voice as it is NOW. You will learn about healthy breathing techniques and how to manage your breath to create beautiful sound. Singers in this group will also have the experience of singing in front of an audience in our end-of-term sing-along performance.
