***APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR SUMMER 2017 HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH MAY 31***

At Cathedral Park Performing Arts Collective we value the benefits of intergenerational learning. As a result, we have created a Leadership Program with internships for high school and college students in our Summer Musical Theatre Workshops and our Studio Programs.

Each spring, high school and college students are invited to apply for this unique opportunity to learn proven preparation techniques for performers, and also guide younger performers to be ready for a staged performance. After the summer internship, our Workshops Leaders will have gained valuable, marketable skills that translate well on college and employment applications. Following completion of the workshop, the Directors can serve as references.

Workshop Leaders can expect to:

  • build interpersonal relationships
  • mentor young performers
  • develop classroom management skills
  • organize and plan activities
  • perform a role in a musical
  • lead student daily reflections

Applications for our Summer Workshop Leadership Program are now available! Click the links above to download the 2017 Workshop Leader Description sheet and the 2017 Workshop Leader Application.

To apply, send application materials to CPPAC Directors at: info@cathedralparkarts.org.

Leaders in our studio program gain valuable first-hand experience teaching and directing our studio classes and ensembles year-round. The Studio Leadership Program is designed to give Leaders opportunities to develop their skills in music and theatre and learn new techniques along the way. Leaders may choose to assist our studio teachers in planning classes, choreographing dance numbers, directing a scene, or teaching musical repertoire for showcase. Other opportunities include accompanying an ensemble, designing costumes or set, script-writing, or music arrangement. Whatever your passion, CPPAC Directors and supervising instructors will work closely with you to design your individualized leadership program.

Studio Leaders can expect to:

  • build interpersonal relationships
  • mentor young performers
  • develop classroom management skills
  • organize and plan activities
  • receive constructive feedback from CPPAC Directors and supervising instructor on a weekly basis

Applications for our Studio Leadership Program are ongoing and subject to availability. To apply, send letter of intent and resume to CPPAC Directors at: info@cathedralparkarts.org.
